Even before the pandemic forced workers online, the demand for digital learning was increasing. According to Raconteur, over the past two to three years, mobile device-based learning increased by 70% and augmented/virtual reality learning increased by 64%. The demand grew further at the start of the pandemic, with 82% of senior business stakeholders and 71% of end-users reporting a higher demand for digital learning.
Following this surge in digital learning, however, a lot of companies discovered their Learning Management Systems (LMS) were not fit for purpose or sufficiently agile to be able to adapt and meet their new demand.
myAko is a white-label LMS, developed by Kevin Ashley. Founder and CEO, Kevin, is well-versed in the difficulties that can be found in ensuring digital learning is engaging, rather than just a forgettable necessity to be ticked off the to-do list. Speaking on this topic, Kevin says:
“From our experience at myAko, we have found that bite-size, more engaging and interactive learning has a significantly higher learner satisfaction score than long modules that seem to take forever to complete. The challenge for organisations will be continuously evolving learning content so that the learning is relevant and available, not just when the organisation requires it to be completed, but also at the individual’s time of need. If you consider the ‘Google or YouTube’ mentality, where it’s easy to find out how to do something for the first time, often in under 5 minutes, then modern-day LMS have to be able to be personalised and adapted to meet the learners need and learning style.”
